The ATI ANNANG FOUNDATION berth on the principles of equality, justice, fairness and harmony has concluded arrangements for the commencement of her 2018 International Convention.
The Convention with the theme “Collaborating For Annang Sustainable Development” is scheduled to hold in Hilton Hotels and Park Resort, JFK, 144-02 135TH Ave. Queens, New York from Thursday, 2th to 5th August 2018.
The Governor of Akwa Ibom state, Mr. Udom Emmanuel is billed as the Special Guest of Honour, his deputy, Mr. Moses Ekpo, and the Senate Minority Leader, Senator Godswill Obot Akpabio are expected as Guests of Honour. The convention has the Special Assistant to the State Governor on Technical Matters and Due Process, Engr. Ufot Ebong, as Chairman of the occasion.
A long list of events has been scheduled to take place during the convention such as New York City Sightseeing, Convention Banquet and fund raising among other numerous activities.
Recall that the Ati Annang 2018 National Convention held in Akwa Ibom State, Ikot Ekpene, February this year was attended by thousands of guests from all over the country and the diaspora, witnessed the presentation of backpacks and accessories to over five hundred pupils drawn from forty public schools to support the free education of Governor Udom Emmanuel administration; offer of scholarships to students in tertiary institutions, presentation of trophies to winners of the Ati Annang inter-schools football competition; and the commissioning of her International Secretariat in Akwa Ibom State.
The annual gathering of Ati Annang Foundation (AAF) members worldwide, is a meet to further the cause the socio-cultural association with the aim of collectively defining, articulating and implementing the goals and ideals of Annang ethnic destiny within the context of the Annang Diaspora and the Nigerian ethno-centered nation state.
