UDOM IN MY COMMUNITY FINALLY OPENS FOR ENTRIES

Udomcares Citizen Centre….. “Let’s Hear Your Voice through the Citizen Centre”,

 

 

 

 

 

AKS Ministry of Information and Strategy has finally throws open doors for entries into the much hyped “Udom In My Community” enlightenment campaign Photo/Video competition, with the launch of the re-loaded and rebranded “Udomcares Citizen Centre”.

The State Commissioner for Information and Strategy, Charles Udoh who broke the news said, photo/video by members of the public participating in the competition will be uploaded to the “Udomcares Citizen Centre” after which scrutinized and successful entries will be uploaded to state Government Social Media pages for public consumption.

Charles Udoh disclosed that, the rebranded and repacked Udomcares Citizen Centre, an avenue towards demonstrating the People-oriented governance of Governor Udom Emmanuel will serve as the official collation centre for Feedback, Reports and Suggestions by members of the Public on any issue of their concern for government response and action geared at participatory governance for a cordial government/governed relationship.

The Information Boss said the Centre has a dual purpose as it will also remain the clearing house for upload of photo/video competition entries for the “Udom In My Community” enlightenment/sensitization campaign and declared open to the public the e-mail address and phone number of the “Udomcares Citizen Centre” as citizen@akwaibomstate.gov.ng and 09076173782 respectively.

 

He said the “Udomcares Citizen Centre” with the slogan, “Let’s Hear Your Voice through the Citizen Centre”, will be opened to members of the public between the hours of 9am and 5pm, Mondays to Fridays, adding that entries for the photo/video competition closes midnight on Friday weekly as winners will be declared on Mondays.

 

Outlining the modalities for participation, the branding maestro Information Commissioner said, the competition is open to all members of the public who are expected to take pictures or make videos  of any ongoing or completed project of the current administration of Governor Udom Emmanuel, ensuring they appear in the picture/video; upload the picture/video on “Udomcares Citizen Centre” with e-mail citizen@akwaibomstate.gov.ng and phone no 09076173782, and provide details of your name, phone number, date, time, location and Local Government Area.

Udoh stated that Top 10 entries will win N2000 recharge card while the Star Prize winner will smile home with N10,000 in the weekly “Udom In My Community” Photo/Video sensitization/enlightenment campaign.

 

It should be recalled that, since assumption of office, the Commissioner for Information and Strategy, Charles Udoh has initiated numerous strategies towards projecting and promoting the trail blazing landmarks of Governor Udom Emmanuel to the world to attract investors and tourists to the state as well as mobilize and sensitize the public on governments  programmes and projects.

Such avenues employed by the Information Boss include, tour of government project sites with a cross section of the media; mount “Udomcares state-wide sensitization campaign” with visit to Ibom Plaza; embark on “Best Information Officer Award”; undertake regular Live TV/Radio Interview Programmes; Publication of “Discover Akwa Ibom” and “Akwa Ibom Update Magazine” series as well as package weekly documentaries on “Discover Akwa Ibom” and “Akwa Ibom Update” for Local and National TV the current one running weekly every Friday on AIT by 5.30pm.
